Building a Mentor Program from the Ground Up
Jake Palmer & Maddie Wright
Building a robust mentoring and induction program in your district can be tough. Where do you start? Who needs to be involved? Grade School Principal Jake Palmer and Mentor Teacher Maddie Wright share how to build a mentor program from scratch or very little. Fisher Grade School has increased the amount of support for mentor teachers during this past school year and have seen significant improvements in teacher performance, as well as school culture. It's the harsh reality that staff is turning over like never before. As school leaders, we need to embrace this reality and do everything we can to support & ensure new teachers’ success.
